PALMETTO

The Palmetto is an 829-mile passenger train service operated by Amtrak. The Palmetto runs from New York City south to Savannah, GA via the Northeast Corridor, to Washington DC. Moving through Richmond VA, the Palmetto continues through Rocky Mount and Fayetteville NC and Charleston SC. The Palmetto follows the route of the Silver Meteor, but the latter continues from Savannah south to Miami, FL. Unlike other Silver Service trains, the Palmetto does not operate overnight, and does not offer sleeping accommodations or full dining service.
